Nine little pumpkins sitting on a gate
The first one said
'Oh my god its getting late'
The second one said
'But we don't care'
The third one said
'I see vampires in the air'
The fourth one said
'Lets run and run and run'
The fifth one said
'Get ready for some fun'
The sixth one said
'Lets cook some cakes'
The seventh one sad
'We can watch them bake'
The eigth one said
'Can we decorate them green'
The ninth one said
'Of course its halloween'
Then whoosh went the wind and out went the lights
And nine little pumpkins rolled out of the site.
Weekend 3: 26-28th oct 09
Portsmouth Explorers
This residential was slightly different from the norm as the explorers were picked up at 12pm rather than the usual 5pm. This meant that we were able to cram far more in on the first day than normal. This meant that even from the first day the explorers would be covered in wet and mud, which they were! On the second day the explorers created their own carvings into pumpkins which were lit later in the evening to inkeep with the halloween half term. Ofcourse alot more occured on this weekend i havent even scratched the surface. If you want to know more....why dont you come and jump on the dreamwall bus and spend 72 hours with our terrific young people and tea,,
Weekend 2: 2-4th October 09
Alex's Sonnet
The girls arrived excited, busting to get into the bus,
As soon as we enter CET the sweet smell of spag bol hypnotises us,
We organized the rooms and groups then fuelled up on scrumptious grub,
Finally preparing the girls for the evenings shenanigans in the mud,
Though there were some tough activities along the way,
Each young lady took a deep breath and blew us all away,
There motivation to succeed was startling,
Even through the darkest challenges they were amazing ,
Another morning has broken getting darker as the year goes on,
With the girls positive moods brings a shining light like the sun.
Weekend 1: 25-27th September 09
Prologue
On a warm summers evening 5 intrepid men and women went to spend the weekend away from their homes in a land called the New Forrest. En route to this enchanting but uncertain land they enrolled 6 of Southampton's young people believing them to be their equals.
The arrival
Upon arrival the newly constructed family ravished their rations before heading out ;....into the woods. Crouching creeping and hearts pounding they had to move silently, without creating even so much as whisper to capture the mesmerising radiant sticks without being spotted by the forests evil guards, this was not the end, far from it infact, they then had to endure a long cold walk in the dark, before finally being able to rest.
The morning after the first sleep
After a small rest, a game unknown to most of the family was played with vigour energy and passion, before they erected the towers holding the sacred artefacts. The completion of these towers signalled the start of a ritual among the family; wet and muddy tasks were completed by all who were there.
The reminising
The family headed to base to watch what is for some the only remembrance of the world they left behind; a DVD. The family tried to replicate games from their homeland but only succeeded in creating new but similar games, this said these games were seen as more fun than the originals in the homeland.
Epilogue
On the way back from this land the family said their goodbyes to one another, but do not fret, this family will unite again, for they are dreamwall.
Fear not readers, i say goodbye, but i shall be back next week, with some more dreamwall adventures.
