Unlike other residential's that are on offer to young people, the staff at Dreamwall are; friendly, approachable and not afraid to get grubby!
As a Care Ambassador, I hadn't had the opportunity to do anything like this before and I personally didn't know what to expect. Dreamwall to me, was challenging but highly amusing, especially when watching and joining in the wet and mud, in the middle of the New Forest! Creating challenges such as solo night walking is a brilliant way to overcome apprehensions and build confidence - All whilst making friendships that can be kept up outside of Dreamwall. Surrounded by a positive atmosphere, Dreamwall builds the mentality that young people can, ‘achieve anything if they put their mind to it’. I’ve certainly taken away a different stance than the one I originally held, along with great memories and a suitcase full of mucky clothes! I can't wait to go back and look forward to the challenges and good times that Dreamwall brings!

Hi my name is Mercedes Oliver age 20 and 8 months pregnant. I’m currently working as a care ambassador for Hampshire children services.
On Friday the 26th I left my house to attend a residential weekend with dream wall. Not knowing what I would be doing I still travelled up to the m27 services to meet a group of young girls called the funky socks. Once I arrived at the services we then got a mini bus with everyone to the farm were we would be staying for the weekend. Over the weekend we got to have fun, challenge are self’s and meet a great group of girls. I’m so grateful that I got the chance to experience a fantastic weekend. The whole time I was there I felt welcome and got the chance to push myself and feel good about it, I’m hoping to go back and work with the same group but also others to once I have had my baby. I can’t thank dream wall enough for such an awesome experience and not to forget the funky socks group for making me feel a part of their team. On the Sunday I had to leave early to get back to work but I didn’t want to leave and miss the last day. I even came joint second at dream walls CRAZY golf I’m normally last on that game. I can see why the girls and also boy groups enjoy them self’s so much on this residential weekend. I hope there charity get more funding so they can carry on giving young children a great experience.
Once again thank you so much for a fantastic time hope to see you all in the future from Mercedes.
